Dr. Quan Zhou, Ph.D. is the Founder of IDG-Accel China Growth Fund LP and serves as its Managing Director and General Partner. Dr. Zhou founded IDG Capital Partners in 1993 and has been its Managing Director since 1995 and serves as its General Partner. Dr. Zhou was a fiber optics researcher for NASA before he joined IDG Capital. He serves as a Non-executive Director of Superdata Software Holdings Limited. He has been a Director at Xunlei Limited since November 2006. He has been a Director of SouFun Holdings Ltd. (also known as Soufun.com Ltd.) since 1999. He serves as a Director of LinkAir Communications, Inc. and Circle Internet Financial Limited. He has been a Director of Memsic, Inc., since March 16, 2011 and Yirendai Ltd since January 2015. He served as Non-Executive Director of Northeast Electric Development Co., Ltd. He has won awards from NASA and holds two U.S. patents in fiber optic devices. Benefiting from more than 20 years of successful business and operation experience, he has established close connections with many IT companies and entrepreneurial communities in both China and the United States. Dr. Zhou was ranked 44 in the Forbes Midas List of 2016. He holds a Ph.D. in Fiber Optics from America's Rutgers University in 1989, a Master's Degree in Chemical Physics from the Chinese Academy of Science in 1984, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Science from China Science and Technology University in 1981.
