Ru Zheng

Director, Global Business Development and Distribution, @Universal Sequencing Technology

Ms. Ru Zheng, MBA, Director of Global Business Development and Distribution at Universal Sequencing Technology. Universal Sequencing Technology, an innovative leader in the biotech sphere, is known for its TELL-Seq technology which supports world-wide genomic research in cost-effective ways. With over 20 years in the life sciences industry, Ru has a diverse background from roles at Antagen Pharmaceutical Inc. and Thermo Fisher Scientifics. A prominent figure in community leadership, Ru's networking prowess is evident. She served as President of the Chinese Biopharmaceutical Association Boston Chapter (2020-2022). Ru’s most notable contribution lies with the New England Chinese Information and Networking Association (NECINA). Ru held various roles from officer to president, and then as a board member from 2008 to 2020. Additionally, she's volunteered with the Youth Entrepreneurship Service Program since 2006. Ru holds an MBA from Bentley University and a B.A. from Guangzhou University of Foreign Studies.

Dr. George He

Senior Expert @McKinsey & Company

Dr. George He is a senior expert at McKinsey, where he specializes in Data Science. With a career spanning over 20 years, Dr. George has excelled in utilizing big data and AI to drive market expansion for financial institutions. His experience includes notable tenures at Citibank and Chase Bank. Dr. George's journey into AI and Neural Networks commenced as early as the 1990s, and he ventured into applying these technologies within the financial sector. Also, Dr. George, He serves as the Vice President of the New England Chinese American Alliance.

Max Tang

Founder and CEO @Applify

Max Tang graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2022 and is currently the CEO and co-founder of Applify AI, a company that aims to democratize high-quality college advising services. As the first-generation to attend college, Max struggled with college admissions and led him to enroll in community college. Although eventually he went to UCLA and Harvard, he always pondered how to help more students like himself—not just hundreds, but millions. This led to the creation of Applify AI, which leverages AI to provide personalized college admissions guidance for all students. Since its launch on June 18, 2023, its product QuickApply has already been utilized by over 400 business customers. Today, Applify AI is part of Harvard Innovation Labs LaunchLab and Microsoft‘s Founders hub and has already secured a million USD in seed funding.
