Robert Chow is a counsel in the Corporate Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2005.
Practice
Mr. Chow's practice focuses on general corporate / WilmerHale Venture Group (Waltham), securities, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliance and licensing matters. From 2000 to 2002, he served as vice president and general counsel of Convergent Networks, Inc., a developer and marketer of next generation switching equipment for telecommunications service providers and cable operators. In this position, Mr. Chow was responsible for all legal matters for the company, including negotiations of strategic alliances, sales contracts, license agreements, equity financings and settlements of litigation.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Chow was a staff news writer for The Orange County Register in Orange County, California, where he covered a variety of topics, including business, state politics, crime and local government.

Speaker: Mark Gelfand
Mark Gelfand grew up near Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Carnegie-Mellon University, earning a BS in Physics in 1973. After graduation, he worked at the National Bureau of Economic Research as a computer programmer for the Troll econometric modeling system. In 1979, he co-founded Integrated Planning, Inc., which produced software that combined econometrics and marketing analysis. In 1985, he co-founded Intex Solutions, Inc., a supplier of analytical solutions for the structured finance markets. His personal and philanthropic interests include enhancing student experiences with science, technology, and engineering.
