Jimmy Wang has extensive software development and management experience. He is a Principle Investigator and Technical Lead in Verizon's eBusiness division. Jimmy is responsible for the architecture design and managing development teams in building e-business applications for Verizon's enterprise customers.
Prior to Verizon, Mr. Wang co-founded MissionCalls Corp, which developed multi-channel and interactive communication tools. He also led software and product development in building a major eCommerce site, Essential.com. Jimmy has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Summit Technology (now part of Alcon), and MetaSoftware.
Mr. Wang holds a BS degree from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from Institute of Photographic Chemistry, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He continued his education at Harvard University in Information Technologies. He has published eight papers in leading international scientific journals.
Mr. Wang has been an active volunteer at NECINA for years. He served as the President of NECINA during 2004-2005. He is currently a member of the board of directors of NECINA.
